During the GUIDING LIGHT 40th Anniversary primetime special in 1992, several soap opera icons commented on the late Phillips including Agnes Nixon, Bill Bell, Ruth Warrick Charita Bauer and Arthur Peterson (the original Dr. Ruthledge on the radio version of GUIDING LIGHT). The Phillips discussion is about halfway through the first video below. In the second video, Phillips was honored in 1994 during the 50 Year of Daytime CBS primetime special along with Nixon and Bell.
