INDIE SOAP BEAT Extra: VENICE Tweetfest

GUIDING LIGHT's Crystal Chappell and ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Hillary B. Smith revealed some new information about Chappell's new web series, VENICE, in a "Tweetfest" earlier tonight. Smith will be playing Guya on the series. The actresses became friends when Chappell was working at ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

Here are some of the revealing tweets.

You"ll find Guya sharing knowledge of life experience to folks in Venice.

You'll also see Hillary's amazing comedic chops.

Guya was born with silver spoon in mouth then spoon went to the nose and then she married for love, traded in for younger model and has found most men obsolete, but fascinating. She's changed her name from Jane to Guya and now offers love and crystals in Venice Beach.

She's there to guide.

Guya is Ginas Aunt.

She'll cut thru the bullshit.

VENICE sounds better and better all the time. Keep following the show and Chappell on Twitter for updates.

  5. Everyone is waiting for Venice! with great anticipation. Even us cynical freaks in the TelevisionWithoutPity soap forums!

    We're all following the twitter.

And sometimes, it feels like a new beginning- with this, and other web ventures - for a new era and a new vehicle for soap.

    And everything else.

    (crosses fingers)

  7. I'm completely in awe of Crystal Chappell...not only is she an amazing acting talent with beauty to die for, but she's also a smart cookie, who knows how to keep the audience interested. To get people so excited about a show that has only taped one day of scenes is an accomplishment in this fast and busy world that we live in! Well done Crystal, Kimmy, Hope, Leslie. :-)

  8. As Renville68 well said: ".not only is she an amazing acting talent with beauty to die for, but she's also a smart cookie, who knows how to keep the audience interested". She is also a very fun and down to earth woman who always have time for her fans, family and friends and that say a lot of a person..celebrity or not.

  9. This show is reaching Goddess levels of amazing... and it hasn't even started yet.

We need to support Venice with all we got. It's the only way that networks will see that same sex romance and kissing IS appealing to a large crowd and maybe next time they won't screw up a great love story like they're trying to screw up Otalia.

    We got your back, Crystal!
