AS THE CORN GROWS Picked Up For Another Season

Our Story Productions has announced they have picked up AS THE CORN GROWS, Minnesota's first soap opera about county living, for a second season. The soap opera shot in southern Minnesota with a cast of 28 volunteers, is aired on public access television in 60 communities throughout southern Minnesota and on their website at outstorymn.com.

"AS THE CORN GROWS is a tongue-and-cheek look at country living," producer Jeff Rouse said. He described the show as a cross between MARY HARTMAN, MARY HARTMAN and CHICKENMAN with the cliff-hanging twists of GENERAL HOSPITAL.

  2. These people have such a great time shooting this soap.. Yeah, it's over the top and cheesy, but that's what makes it so fun to watch! It's all volunteer, so the drama is saved for the screen.
