Vanessa Marcil cast on WITHOUT A TRACE
Marcil has landed the plum role of Eric Close's on-screen honey. "She falls really hard for Martin and really wants the relationship to work," Marcil told TV Guide. "But they have to get over a secret from her past." Vanessa added that guesting on TRACE "has been a dream of mine, so I'm really excited to be here."

CORRIE cat fight scrapped
Kym Marsh's pregnancy has forced CORONATION STREET bosses to abandon a violent cat fight between her and love rival Becky. A scene involving a fight between Kym's character Michelle and Becky, played by Katherine Kelly, has had to be toned down after Kym, 32, revealed she was pregnant by boyfriend HOLLYOAKS actor Jamie Lomas, according to The Sun.

LAUREN FLYNN: Batting for the other team
"I was bummed when a news report cut into Friday's GUIDING LIGHT, but imagine my delight when yesterday's episode picked right up with Emma reading her essay, 'My Two Mommies.' I loved how her teacher was so supportive of Olivia's 'alternative lifestyle,' which left Liv a little tongue-tied. CW may turn to SMALLVILLE bosses to remake MELROSE PLACE
Sources confirm that the net is now talking with SMALLVILLE show-runners Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin about shepherding the update.

Pottstown native appeared on OLTL on Monday
Kyle Klaus, 26, appeared on Monday's ONE LIFE TO LIVE. His role as Navy Seal Freeman was the second for the New-York-based real estate agent turned actor. He first portrayed the Navy Seal in August. Monday's scene was a flashback. The part was an "under-five," meaning it had fewer than five lines -- but Klaus said every role puts him closer to his dream of acting full time.

Rachel Griffiths' pregnancy won't be written into BROTHERS & SISTERS
"We're almost done [with shooting] and I'm not enormous, so I don't think there'll be too much of that," the mother of two told Us at the Australia Week Black Tie Gala on Sunday. "It's brilliantly timed as I always do with my children, without causing the networks too much stress."

Marcia Cross' husband is battling cancer
Marcia Cross's husband, stockbroker Tom Mahoney, has been diagnosed with cancer, PEOPLE has confirmed.

"He is currently under treatment and is responding very well," the actress's rep Heidi Slan says.

The two were married in June 2006, and have 23-month-old fraternal twin daughters, Eden and Savannah.
