Soap Watch: Antonio Sabato Jr. in GH spinoff
EW.com has confirmed that Antonio Sabato Jr. will be reprising his role as Jagger Cates on the second season of the GENERAL HOSPITAL spinoff NIGHT SHIFT. Sabato is scheduled to appear in all 13 episodes of the second season, which debuts in late July. Sabato was on GH steadily from 1992-94, and last appeared in 1995 around the time that his on-screen brother, Stone, was dying of AIDS. His presence on NIGHT SHIFT should stir things up for a pregnant Robin (Kimberly McCullough); she is still very emotionally connected to Stone, who was her first love, and Patrick, her baby daddy. Jagger was also previously married to the now-dead Karen Wexler, who had worked as a stripper for Sonny when he was an up-and-coming mobster.

Soap Opera Festival returns
They got the name "soap operas" from sponsorship by Cincinnati-based soapmaker Procter & Gamble, and Joyce Becker knows better than most how much this area is awash with bubbly fans.

She’s brought her Soap Opera Festival here periodically since the late 1970s and will return June 29 for two shows at Kings Island. Becker will play hostess as audience members take pictures and ask questions of four cast members from CBS's THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Emily O’Brien (who plays Jana), Christian LeBlanc (Michael), Greg Rikaart (Kevin) and Daniel Goddard (Cane).

B&B's Wagner has 7-1 odds in golf tourney
A record purse of $600,000 highlights this year's American Century Championship -- the premier celebrity golf tournament in the United States. The 54-hole challenge takes place July 11-13 at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's Jack Wagner sank a 14-foot birdie putt on the final hole in 2006 to take home the $100,000 first-place prize. He has seven top-five finishes in the tournament and oddsmakers current list him at 7-1 odds to win.

Wait till you see the scenes between Asa and Bo, airing in mid-July — Bob Woods will break your heart. Bo says all the things to his Paw that he always wanted to say, finally bringing the conversation around to an achingly sweet moment between the two."
